Effective Date: January 1st, 2025
Data Controller: Volvose LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.
It is legally imperative to define the nature of "G-Player Pro". The software acts exclusively as a Media Rendering Engine. Under the provisions of the EU E-Commerce Directive (2000/31/EC) and Section 512 of the US Copyright Act:
- The Company does not produce, host, distribute, or curate any audio-visual content.
- The Company acts as a "Mere Conduit". We provide the vehicle; the user provides the destination (Playlist/URL).
- Consequently, strictly compliant with GDPR Principle of Data Minimization (Art. 5.1.c), we do not log, inspect, or analyze the content of the video streams decrypted by our software. We are technically blind to whether a user is watching a family video or copyrighted material.
Pursuant to Article 6 of the GDPR, we process personal data solely based on the following legal grounds:
A. Contractual Necessity (Art 6.1.b): To validate your software license, we must process your Device ID (MAC Address). Without this data, the software cannot function (activation).
B. Legitimate Interest (Art 6.1.f): We process IP addresses transiently to prevent DDoS attacks and ensure server integrity.
WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM the collection of any "Special Categories" of personal data (Art 9 GDPR) such as political opinions, religious beliefs, or biometric data.
To ensure maximum privacy and strict neutrality regarding Intellectual Property laws:
Volvose LLC maintains a zero-knowledge architecture regarding user consumption. We do not store:
- Logs of channels watched.
- History of VOD (Video On Demand) accessed.
- EPG (Electronic Program Guide) interaction history.
- Source URLs or M3U Playlists entered by the user.
This policy is a defense mechanism. Since we do not possess this data, we cannot be compelled to produce it in civil litigation regarding copyright infringement.
As a US-based entity, data collected by Volvose LLC is transferred to servers located in the United States. For EU citizens, this transfer is safeguarded by:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
Under GDPR Chapter III, you possess the following indefeasible rights:
- Right to Access: You may request a copy of the metadata we hold (MAC Address/License status).
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You may demand the deletion of your account. Note: This will result in the immediate revocation of your software license without refund, as the license is tied to the data.
- Right to Restriction: You may limit how we process your email address (used solely for transactional receipts).
To exercise these rights, submit a formal legal request to legal@gplayer.net.
While we are staunch defenders of privacy, Volvose LLC is not a haven for illicit activity. We operate under the Cloud Act (USA) and International Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties (MLAT).
If served with a valid, high-level Court Order or Subpoena regarding criminal activity (Terrorism, CSAM, or large-scale Commercial Piracy):
- We will disclose the Account Existence Data (MAC Address, IP used for activation, Email).
- We cannot disclose Activity Data (What was watched), as this data does not exist on our servers (see Article 3).
This limitation protects the user from "fishing expeditions" by copyright trolls, while keeping Volvose LLC compliant with judicial oversight.
